Description
PART OF THE ATCM FUTURE HIGH STREET FUND SERIES
The 22nd March is the deadline for Expressions of Interest for the Future High Streets Fund. £675 million will be available to local authorities working in partnership with others in a competitive bidding process.
This ATCM Midlands meeting will support members by providing an overview of the Future High Streets Fund before helping to develop ideas for a submission with a focus on the role of public realm in the transformation of high streets.
This event will include an overview of the evidence required and a study tour of Worcester’s public realm. We will discuss the structure of the Fund and any barriers in order to provide feedback to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
We will also discuss the topical policy issues for the day from the Treasury Select Committee's Inquiry into the impact of business rates on businesses, an update on MHCLG's planning reform proposals and Brexit. There will be a review of the ATCM Place Management Conference 'Death of the High Street?' and we will unveil plans for Summer School 2019.
